Christmas 2008

As if December hasn't been busy enough, of course we still had Christmas. It was a great and very busy time, as we traveled and celebrated with our families.
Festivities began on the 20th at Grandma B's in Franklin, WI. We stopped here after the wedding for some food, presents, family time, and rock band with the cousins.

On Christmas Eve we were in Menomonee Falls at Pete's parents for pajama and present time. We were all very spoiled and had a fun time opening presents and going out to lunch before church and a party to follow.

On Christmas day we were in Mukwonago, WI for Christmas with G &G Schneider and the rest of the fam.

Nora met her Uncle Josh and Aunt Amanda for the first time, as they came in for Christmas from D.C.

Then it was off to Springfield, IL for Christmas with the Nahnsen family. We had a good time relaxing here. The drive way was iced over so we were happily stranded on the farm.

By the weekend we were finally back to Milwaukee and had the Zimmer family Christmas and some quality time with Grandma, Grandpa, and aunt Steph.

We were sad to say goodbye to everyone but after all the travels and parties it feels very good to be home!

Indiana Wedding

The weekend of December 19th took us to Indianapolis for cousin Kelly and Tyler's wedding. It was a great weekend. We got out of Milwaukee just before the 12 inch snowstorm and made it to grandma and grandpa zimmers in Chicago. The next day we went to Indy for an amazing rehearsal and dinner at the Skyline Club, over looking the city. It was very nice and we had our first babysitter!(grandma and grandpa!)
Kelly and Tyler's wedding the next day was beautiful and we enjoyed another great day of family, food, drinks, and dancing. Nora did great the whole day, she slept through most of it, but had a good time, not to mention she looked beautiful in the pretty dress aunt Kelly picked out!

For her baptism Nora wore a dress made by her great great grandmother. It was made in 1955 and has been worn by many family members since then, her grandpa, great uncles, cousins, and mom.

Gradumatism

This weekend we celebrated many things. Amanda graduated from CUW and Nora was baptized by her grandpa. It was a very busy but great weekend. We were blessed to enjoy both events with many family members, including 7 of Nora's great grandparents, and friends. Our parents and siblings did so much for us as we had many parties and events.

Nora was pooped after the long weekend!

We love to love you!

We can't believe Nora is a week old today!! We are all still doing great. Nora is a great sleeper, we wonder how long that will last!! She had a busy week of visitors, learning how to eat, checking out her new home, going to the doctor, etc. She has been spoiled by lots of friends and family. Pete is overwhelmed with the pink invasion of our house. Grandma Zimmer is here for the whole week so she has lots of attention and lots of pictures.

We had a great visit from Nora's god parents John and Sarah and Jack!

The BIG arrival!!!

We went in to the hospital Sunday night to be induced. It didn't take much to get labor going, it was time. Nora Rose was born at 11:49 on Monday December 1st after 8 hours of labor. She is a beautiful and healthy girl! She weighed 9 lb 8 oz. (is down to 9 lbs now). So we have a good armful of baby. Labor and deliver went well, there were no problems with anyone, we are very thankful for that. She has been a good sleeper and eater. She especially likes it when her dad swaddles and holds her. We are all doing very well and came home today in a snowstorm. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers, and for those who came to see her. She can't wait to meet all her family and friends!!! We love you!!
